Customer Feedback
Reading Your ReviewLoop Dashboard: What Scans, Ratings and Conversion Really Tell You
A dashboard full of numbers is only useful if you know which ones to act on. Here are the ones that matter, what they mean, and what to do about them.
Scans
Scans count how many people opened your review page from the QR. They measure how visible your QR is, not how happy your customers are. If scans are low, the fix is almost always placement or a spoken ask. A QR on the counter that no one is invited to scan gets ignored. Try the table, the bill folder, or a short line from staff at billing. Our post on placement ideas that get scanned has specific options.
Ratings
Watch the spread, not just the average. A 4.4 made of mostly fives and a few ones tells a different story from a 4.4 made of all fours. Low ratings arrive privately in your feedback list first, which gives you a chance to fix the problem and, where it makes sense, reply to the customer before a public review appears.
Feedback volume
The number of written comments shows how much customers are willing to tell you. Read them weekly. Repeated words, such as "wait", "cold" or "rude", are your to-do list, and every recurring one you fix is worth more than any single review.
Review-click conversion
Of the people who saw your page, how many tapped through to Google? A healthy page converts a good share of happy customers. If it is low while scans are fine, check that the Google link is correct and the welcome message is short and friendly. Remember that a tap is not a posted review, and that you should never hide the button from anyone. Our article on why you should never hide the review button explains why.
The funnel view
The funnel puts these together: opened, rated, sent feedback, clicked review. Look for the biggest drop between two steps. That step is where to work.
Several branches
Growth and Pro plans show each branch on its own and merged as "All branches". Compare branches with each other. A branch that scans well but rates lower usually has a service problem, not a marketing one. See managing reviews across locations.
A weekly ten-minute routine
- Check scans against last week.
- Read every new low-rating comment.
- Note the one thing that came up most.
- Fix it, and tell the team.
Small, steady changes are how a 4.1 becomes a 4.6.
Frequently asked questions
What is review-click conversion?
The share of customers who opened your review page and then tapped the Review us on Google button. It is the clearest signal that your page and your ask are working.
Does a click mean a review was posted?
No. We only know that the customer tapped the button. Whether they finished and posted on Google happens on Google's side, and we cannot see it.
Why is my average rating in the dashboard different from Google's?
The dashboard shows ratings customers gave on your ReviewLoop page. Google shows only what people actually posted there, over your whole history.
